appy burday to me

Dec 19 2008......

completed 19......

My best birthday ever.....

I've rarely had a day which has been like totally awesome and unforgettable. Its either sad or normal or boring or with hints of fun. My birthday's usually are not something to brag about. I just meet a few friends and do nothing special though. But this birthday, I'll never forget. Everyone made it happen.
Since the time I got up in the morning it had been nothing short of awesomeness!!! except for probably an hour in college when I was punished and was made to stand in the last bench. :) I was so overjoyed and happy. I might not have shown my emotions but that must have probably been because of shock and excitement! :) But I made sure that I told everyone how exactly they made my day feel like heaven.

The early morning surprise from the old man, sid and gelch... The fun but silly UNO games and talks with my college friends. I should not forget to mention the golden chinese dragon and the laughing buddha on top of it, is really really nice. The overwhelming surprise party at bags place. The first ever surprise party for me and it is something I'll never forget - the cake face pack ;) people happily talking and playing around, the birthday bums and even the slip in the bathroom. It was all worth it. Then the ending with a sooper dooper dinner at home with some close friends and family.

One gift I received which might not be of any use now but nevertheless awesome and another gift which i did not get but craved for at that moment [:P]

I lowe all the people who made it happen for me.

We humans strive, research for months at end to get a cure or make a break through in the study of a particular disease that has been plaguing the lives of humans all over the world. Though only a few people work towards it, almost the entire world support this cause. These diseases about which we do not have any knowledge; their origin, effects, etc, are being studied upon and scientists are trying their level best to get rid of these diseases.
But there seems to be one particular problem, a pretty huge problem, which not many people seem to be worrying about. More than all those diseases, this particular problem might be the cause for the destruction of the human race as well as the entire earth with all its natural beauty. Just a handful of people are trying to settle this problem. Many people in the world are probably not affected by this and hence choose to ignore it. The people who are affected, make it worse, except for a few who work towards betterment. the people in-charge of controlling the situation, the people in power, do not seem to be helping much
.
I'm talking about WAR. We know the reason of why and who and what and all sorts behind WAR, but I do not see people working towards peace. Few are, but in such a huge world, the words of a few is like whispering in a deaf person's ears. Most of the people seem to be with the continuation of war till their superiority is proved.
Humans are a very proud race. They will do anything to prove their superiority. We are a very greedy race too. As a whole, we expand our environment thus destroying the natural environment and as groups, we fight against each other to showcase our power. We are the cause for most of the problems in the world and what is the solution we find to overcome these problems???WAR. Chaos all over the world, terrorism and ultimately destruction of life.
Why cant humans live in harmony with each other and the nature? This according to me is not possible as long as religions exist. Religion to me is just the twisted tales of a few dominant people of the past. Though their intentions might not have been for the purpose of war or superiority, it has eventually evolved into that now. We humans are all the same. born out of the womb, same blood, same beat of the hearts. So then why does this problem exist? Why cannot there be just one superior being in whom everyone should place their trust and believe in?
I just wish for oneness to exist among all humans and want to see us all co-existing with the natural environment, helping it grow as it had once helped us........

IS IT NOT WORTH SPENDING ON?

Recently I came across some news about a discussion about the Right to Education Bill in the newspaper. I was really happy at that moment, but after a few minutes I was thinking whether this would actually make any difference? Many children are already studying. As in people who've money send their children to school. So this accounts for all the children in the upper class and then the middle class and probably also the lower middle class.

But it is about the children in the lower class that has to be discussed now. Children in this class total to an approximate 80 million. A few of the parents in the lower class are actually working really hard to send their kids to school. They work their ass off, just to see to that their child doesn’t end up living a life like them. But the percentage of such people in this class is pretty low I should guess. The rest make their children work so that the family can get more money. I don’t blame the parents; their income is so low that they just manage to get one proper meal for one whole day. So such people would sure need more money to run their family and the only solution for them to earn more money is by sending anyone possible in the family to work. The small children work at some construction sites or at some small shop, earning 10 rupees or more in a day (not sure about the figures). Anyways the small amount that the child gets makes a huge difference to the family. Getting about 100 rupees a day makes the family really happy! Such parents are probably ignorant about the fact that the children up to a certain age are given free education and also provided free books and breakfast and lunch (food is a very important factor here. I am very serious) or probably they are aware of the free education provision but are in no position to send the child to school just because they need more money in the family. In some cases the children are sent to school and when they get the books they go back home and sell those books to earn money. The need for money is very critical these days.

Just bringing in a Right to Education Bill is not going to be enough. It sure is a step towards educating all, but it’s not the one and only step towards 100% education. The government has taken surveys as to how many kids actually go to school and how many don’t but what have they done beyond that? Have they taken any extra measures to see to that all children go to school? They have taken a few; might have been significant steps but that is not enough. Have the government officials gone from place to place checking as to why the children are not going to school? Have they conducted any meets for such poor people asking them to send their children to school? I don’t think so. We see so many orphans on the streets begging but I don’t see the government doing anything for them. Spending on such stuff should be increased by the government. They should realize that how much ever they invest on human education is not going to go for a total waste. The more the people are educated the more is the knowledge they gain and in the end the more income they bring to the country, the more the country will develop. There should be no cap on the money to be spent on human development. So hopefully the government soon carries out more extensive projects for the education of all.

REALITY HIT ME:

Till about a week back, I did not know that the Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE) was presenting the right to education bill to be passed and even worse is the fact that I dint know that they have actually been fighting for this bill to be passed for more than three years! Surprising, how in a country where rumors and other unwanted talks spread like fire, such an important thing has not ever been heard of in the open.

Anyways the latest news as of now just broke my heart. The centre has rejected the bill citing the reason to be the lack of funds. But this is totally absurd. When they can spend so much of money needlessly on unwanted things, why can’t they spend around 55000 crores a year (the official approximate cost) for this bill? Till now I had been arguing that the passing of Right to Education Bill alone was not going to be enough, but now it looks as if even that is going to be just a dream.

Everyone out there cannot argue with me saying that the government has allocated 38702 crores for education this year. This amount is not only for school education but is also for college education, all the quotas the government is providing BASED ON THE CASTE, for the construction of 3 new IIT’s and 16 other central varsities. I guess probably 5% out of this will go to the education of the poor people which is not enough at all.

OUR COUNTRY IS SAID TO HAVE ONE OF THE FASTEST GROWING ECONOMIES BUT STILL INDIA HAS THE LARGEST NUMBER OF ILLITERATES AND RANKS 126 OUT OF 177 IN THE HUMAN DEVELOPMENT INDEX PREPARED BY UNITED NATIONS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (UNDP). Statistics also show that out of 193 million children between the age of 6 and 14 in India, 81 million of them are out of school. Isn’t this a disheartening fact? So please support the people who are fighting for the Bill to come out and not just sit back and let things happen. Sign the petition in the provided link and let us all hope that one day the Bill is passed.

P.S: Sorry for bringing social classes and all in this blog. I personally don’t believe in all that but I had to bring it in for the sake of showing who and all get education and who don’t. Sorry again!

WHY?

Whenever I think of the population in India, I get very irritated and frustrated about the fact. I just feel like calling a meet for all the people who do no work at all; people who are lazy to do work, who beg on the streets even if they are fit enough to work, those who keep drinking and torturing others; tell them that there's going to be some sort of a counseling or job fair for them, and after they all arrive at d place, I want to throw a bomb there. By this method at least a third of India’s population would be gone. But this is all from a third person's point of view, but when it gets personal I think differently. I’ve seen a few of my friends losing their loved ones, and I see the pain, the tremendous amount of suffering that they go through, the loss they suffer. Thinking about this makes me feel heavy. Then I wonder, what'll happen if someone I know, someone close to me, passes away? I know I'll breakdown and cry for days together. It'll be like the worst nightmare ever. I've consoled a few friends of mine, told them that what has happened had to happen, but I know I'll never accept that if something like that happens to my loved ones. So many times in my life I've cried just worrying about my loved ones, what'll happen if they die? What’ll happen to my life if they leave me and go? I know I'll never be able to bear the loss. The pain that one has to go through when a loved one passes away is immeasurable; even if the person who died was fit for nothing or a person who wasted life begging or drinking. Whoever it be, there'll be someone or the other in the world who would have cried for that person. Why is there such a human bond? Why is there so much attachment between souls? Why???
There's just no proper answer. But it is this attachment which keeps us going I guess. Thinking about the ones we love and the need to do something for them keeps us alive. But it is this same attachment which causes so much of misery and pain. The urge to do something for our loved ones might make us desperate and make us do stupid stuff. We might be willing to hurt someone unknown just to please our loved ones. But we don’t realize that these things which we try to do for our loved ones might hurt someone else! This entire world, the entire human race is interlinked; one good to one person, might be bad to another. A victory to one person might be a loss to another. This happens not only amongst individuals alone, but also among groups, castes and religions. And as the number of people involved becomes larger and larger, the magnitude of the results increases. When it includes individuals, there is a small betrayal and when it moves to communities and castes, there's public humiliation or probably in extreme cases, death! I think I’ve deviated slightly from the topic I was discussing in the beginning, but I think everything will get connected in the end.
What’s the use of fighting amongst religions and castes? Don’t people realize that they are acting like the biggest idiots? People probably feel proud of serving their religion, but its absurd man. Killing other humans who we don’t even know just because they are not from the same religion. Suppressing people from other religions or castes or humiliating them publicly. Having a system of untouchability and shit. What do we gain? All this leads only to death and chaos. Why can’t there be harmony amongst people of different castes or religions or countries? Our ancestors are the main cause for the religious disputes. They not only discriminated but made the grave mistake of passing on their practices to their children; and so it continues. Children as such are not born with any constraints or discriminating qualities, but the older people make the kids cultivate this habit in them! What stupidity is this? We are all humans and deserve to be treated alike. All these discrimination and stuff lead only to one point which I've been stressing since the beginning. All these cause death and other bad things which in turn leads to pain and sorrow. So let peace prevail in the world and let us all live happily together as one big family!

For all d shit we go through in life, all we get in return is shit. What’s the use of living this monotonous life?? You keep doing the same shit day in and day out, meet the same people and talk the same bullshit.. Do the same dull work. Life’s become like a machine work man...work, work and only work. Take time to rest and you are fucked by the world around. You fall back in the race. In the race to achieve what? Nothing but bullshit... We do all this shit to earn money so that we can live a luxurious or at least a comfortable life. Earlier the adventures of life used to be in roaming around the world and finding new stuff, in discovering hidden treasures of nature. But what are the adventures now? Finding new ways to earn more money. How to fuck someone else's life to allow ourselves to earn more. What good is that? It’s all fucked up man. All’s fucked up. But we all still live this life.. Yea including me. A few like to make a difference. They do what they want. Not for money. But for themselves and also for sharing with others.. What’s the use of living this life where there's pressure all the time. Earlier pressure used to build up when a man had to start earning for the family. At the age of around 30..then pressure started building upon the school and college going kids so that they can support there family in the future. Now small small babies are sent to school. They are forced to learn to walk too early on in their life. Probably in d near future babies won’t learn to crawl, but directly move on to walking. They are made to learn stuff which is well beyond their age.. What’ all this for? For just one simple reason. So that they don’t get left behind in this race called life. Why cant life be how it used to be? NO MONEY. Just do what you can. Not for money, but to help yourself and others..
Why are there boundaries? Isn’t that some sort of discrimination too? Why are there religions? Why’s all this bullshit there? And why isn’t anyone fighting against this. There are a few who are fighting. But they've no support in this world. It’s dominated by a few masterminds. You know who they are. It’s because of them all this shit exists. People wanted, for their own selfish reasons, some place for their own self. Everyone started wanting it. A few became smart and owned larger areas. They ended up becoming rulers. They put the rules. What happens to the others? They are fucked hard. If you don’t follow the leader, then you are raped. And no one dares oppose. If the humans dint start marking territories like this, I don’t think there would have been different nations and shit.. Why is there passport and shit? Isn’t everything, everyplace a gift to everyone given by whoever's created it? Then why is it that we don’t enjoy those rights? People are selfish..greedy.. Everyone needs money. But why? Dint people live earlier without money? Weren’t their lives happy? Actually theirs would've been better and more satisfying than our life. Why can’t every god damned thing be free?
Everyone sells something and earns money to buy something else and lose money. So if it’s going to be like this, might as well make everything free. But on one condition. A person should've done something to earn that free thing. A lazy person should be fucked hard. Everyone who works to produce something gets everything.. So in that way, everyone gets everything. No rich, no poor. Just humans. But this can never happen. If someone thinks of doing some good, some other person objects as it does not work to his advantage, or it’s more advantageous to someone other than him. He’s selfish and greedy. No one other than him should live a better life than him..
This human race destroying everything; everything that’s beautiful in nature. Just for ugly creatures like us to live.. Fucked up man. The earth is becoming a horrible place to live in. It’s become so business oriented that people are willing to do anything, jus bout anything to be on top. All natural resources are being used up. And what’s the next world war going to be for? Water most probably. Countries which don’t have water will join together and fight with countries which have water. Why can’t d people share? What are they going to lose? All this domination by certain countries, certain group of people, or certain religion or caste leads to such terrorist and similar problems. Nothing like that'll occur if everyone's treated equally.. What’s the use of differentiating, man? We don’t show our superiority by discriminating, we just show that we are equal to dirt. The dirt itself is better as it does not discriminate. Humans give me the creeps. All that we are doing to show the superiority of our race is only destroying the world that we are living in and as a result destroying ourselves. Why not protect what we've? Is it that difficult? I feel it’s easier to live and let live man...
Man is too greedy. If man gets one coin, he wants 2... If he gets 2, he wants a handful. If he gets a handful, he needs a bag full. If he gets a bag full, he needs a vault full, and all shit. What happiness and peace of mind is there in that. Nothing at all. We only go through loadsa tensions and shit for that. Why cant things jus be the way they used to probably a few million years ago..
Anyways man, we all know we are living this totally dull and monotonous life. You may say you are having the time of your life going around with friends and all. But in what way does it actually benefit us? In no way at all. But still we are compelled to live this life because if we don’t den we will have rods shoved up r asses..
In the end no one gains. Everyone loses.. Everyone’s a loser in this world, in his own way though. We all continue to be losers thinking that we are actually striving towards being winners! Funny world..
We should probably try and realize the innocence that small babies or d animals have. We can learn from that. It’s supposed to be a world like that, happy and free. But it has been converted to some hideous looking business world, where there's no room for freedom. The only one who's free are the rich, and they are also not actually free. They are bound in this horrible world. I know i cant change this world, but i hope some day the nature realizes it has had too much of this shit and that it needs a complete makeover.. So just hope sometime within the next million years my dreams come true!
Till then, happy bound-up life! And those who'd like to have those rods shoved up there asses, all the best for enjoying your life. Wish you luck!
